Queenstown Discount Cruises
A large Queenstown-based tour giant is offering discount cruises to locals all proceeds going to benefit Christchurch earthquake relief. The trips are being offered at heavily discounted rates and are available to residents of Southland, Otago, Central Otago and Canterbury. Every cent that is spent by locals on the Real Journey's excursions will go to the New Zealand Red Cross.
There are seven different trips available, with an average discount of over 50%. The CEO of the company has said that the company wants to help the economy and give some locals a chance to experience the World Heritage Area that is right in their backyards who may not have had the opportunity to do so before. The excursions are to Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, Dusky Sound, and Te Anau Glowworm Caves.
